So it seemed to work…

I posted this a little while back.

So, now for an update on it… it seems to have made me plateau and I stayed at 320lbs for that week I tried it. Maybe it was the intermittent fasting that helped drop the 3lbs or something else. But that week I tried not eating breakfast, I didn’t lose weight and it surely didn’t “melt off”.

Now, I have to say this, about the first of last week I started making Frittatas and eating them for breakfast, I started dropping weight. Granted, I’m not working out right now, but I have had 4 days of extreme sweats. I went to two soccer practices (I’m the coach), I mowed the grass and I worked all day at the soccer fields repainting the lines and fixing nets.

Yummy!

Frittata

My frittata usually consists of 10 to 12 eggs and whatever meat, veggies or anything paleo friendly. Hand full of onions, 1/4 to 1/2lbs of meats, bell peppers, swiss shard, baby spinach, just anything I have in reach. I would eat half of it for breakfast (if I was hungry, which I have been lately) and then the other half at lunch. I’ll mix in tomatoes, avocados and other additions while eating it too. Now I’m sure the ifasting that I’m doing that’s helping with proportion control and getting my sweat on has helped, but I’m eating twice more per day than I did when I skipped breakfast.

Seems contradicting, that I’d lose more weight eating twice as much than not eating much at all, but I’m down to 315lbs in the last two weeks. I was finally able to break the 320lbs plateau I was at. So hopefully with the paleo frittatas, proportion control, coaching and when I actually start working out, I’ll drop even more. I want it to be faster, but I don’t want it to be to fast.

So, what I am trying to say is that breakfast may or may not be the most important meal of your day, but it seems it is my most important meal of the day for myself. Go blackbox (try out) something different in your diet if you are plateaued or are wanting to lose some weight. I recommend the paleo life style of eating and lift heavy weights. Don’t worry ladies, unless you shoot up steroids, you will NOT get bulky. (Check out WGM’s site. These are all ladies that lift (Olympic style lifts, deadlifts, squats, cleans/jerks, etc..) and can out lift 75%+ men in the world. Sad but true and NONE of them are bulky.

Great sites like Gorilla-Pit (for lifting heavy things) and many others listed to the side will help you become stronger, leaner and never bulky. If you want to see some strong girls that aren’t bulky, please ask, I have a TON I can point you too. (Check the Amy Carson and Nikki Ashman links in the side bar.)
